Chicago-based Gold Coast Surgicenter was recognized as a Center of Excellence in Advanced Orthopedic Certification for Total Joints by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

1. Chicago-based Midwest Orthopedics at Rush physicians perform surgery at Gold Coast Surgicenter.
2. The AAAHC launched the new orthopedic certification program in November 2017.
3. The center's surgical team specializes in a range of areas including the back, elbow, hand, hip, knee, spine and shoulder.
4. The center intends to explore achieving the Center of Excellence in Advanced Orthopedic Certification for Spine later in 2018.
