The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has alerted healthcare professionals to stop using certain IV bags of metronidazole, ondansetron and ciprofloxacin due to reports of floating matter and possible contamination in IV bags manufactured by Claris Lifesciences Limited, according to an FDA alert.

Potentially affected products are sold under the Claris, Sagent Pharmaceuticals, Pfizer and West-Ward Pharmaceuticals labels, and IV bags sold under the following labels should be removed immediately from pharmacy inventories:
- Claris — metronidazole, ciprofloxacin, ondansetron
- Pfizer — metronidazole, ciprofloxacin, ondansetron
- Sagent Pharmaceuticals — metronidazole, ondansetron
- West–Ward Pharmaceuticals — metronidazole, ondansetron
