El Paso (Texas) Children's Hospital has achieved accreditation by The Joint Commission, according to an El Paso Inc. report.
The hospital underwent an unannounced survey on Feb. 15-17, during which time Joint Commission surveyors assessed whether the hospital met certain standards, including infection control and medication safety. The accreditation demonstrates the hospital's compliance to the commission's standards for healthcare quality and safety.
