CMS is working to rescind the rule which would require a physician's signature on all paper requisitions for medical laboratory tests for Medicare patients, according to a post on the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) website.
The rule is scheduled to go into effect April 1 but the steps taken by CMS could prevent it from becoming a requirement.
