Capital City Surgery Center Achieves Three-Year AAAHC Accreditation

Capital City Surgery Center, a joint venture ambulatory surgery center between WakeMed Health & Hospitals, local physicians and Compass Surgical Partners, has received its Medicare license and a three-year accreditation from the AAAHC, according to a release.

The ASC opened in June 2012. "We are thrilled that Capital City has received its full accreditation, which represents the high level of quality and care that Compass strives for with each of our partner ASCs," said Sean Rambo, Compass founder and COO. "The AAAHC certification is evidence of the highest level of healthcare and clinical standards in the industry, and we are proud to offer this level of quality healthcare services to the residents in the Triangle area."

Capital City Surgery Center is a multi-specialty ASC located in Raleigh, N.C., near WakeMed's Raleigh campus. With eight operating rooms and three procedure rooms, the center offers a range of specialties, including general orthopedics, sports medicine, hand, spine, pain management, ENT, ophthalmology, urology and general surgery.
