The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care has announced it has accredited its 5,000th organization, according to a news release from AAAHC.
The milestone organization was Rochester (Mich.) Surgery Center. Founded in 2006, it specializes in skin cancer surgery and reconstruction.

"This marks a milestone for AAAHC as the nation's leader in ambulatory healthcare accreditation and demonstrates the growing commitment of surgery centers and other ambulatory organizations to meet nationally recognized standards for safe, quality care," said John Burke, PhD, executive vice president and CEO of AAAHC, in the release.
