The key steps to know:
1. Review gap areas. Establish a timeline to address the ASC's compliance shortcomings and help staff prepare.
2. Prepare for the on-site survey. Review the survey guide and additional information such as The Joint Commission's practice library.
3. Participate in the survey. Review thepreliminary report provided following the survey.
4. Complete post-survey follow-up. If any changes are requested, resolve the issues and report back to the account executive within 60 days.
5. Maintain readiness. Uphold compliance with standards between surveys.
