Sheridan, the Physician Services Division of AmSurg, acquired Coastal Anesthesiology Consultants.
Here are five things to know:
1. Coastal Anesthesia Consultants provides services to Flagler Hospital Facilities in St. Augustine, Fla., and includes more than 25 physicians, certified nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants.
2. Coastal Anesthesia Consultants plans to leverage Sheridan's strengths to provide better care in the community. The group supports both inpatient and outpatient services.
3. The acquisition will expand Sheridan's anesthesiology services business and strengthen its presence in Florida.
4. Sheridan acquired AmSurg last year. AmSurg currently owns and operates 248 ASCs in 34 states and provides physician services to more than 330 healthcare facilities in 27 states.
5. Both Sheridan and Coastal Anesthesiology are excited to enter into the partnership.
