Melville, N.Y.-based North American Partners in Anesthesia acquired Bethesda, Md.-based Aisthesis Partners in Anesthesia Care, expanding NAPA's ASC presence in Washington, D.C. and Delaware.
Here's what you should know:
1. Aisthesis provides anesthesia services to 25 ASCs, three hospitals and three physician offices in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
2. NAPA will expand Aisthesis presence and help the practice scale.
3. Aisthesis CEO John Walton said NAPA's presence will help the company reduce its administrative costs and possibly convert its paper-based record keeping system to an electronic system.
4. NAPA CEO John Di Capua, MD, said, "As NAPA has expanded over the past three decades, we have taken every opportunity to learn from our new partners, and so we look forward to welcoming the clinicians of Aisthesis into our many new and ongoing initiatives."
