Flower Hospital Donates $1M to Lourdes College Nurse Anesthesia Program

ProMedica's Flower Hospital in Sylvania, Ohio, is donating $1 million over a 10-year period to the nurse anesthesia program at Lourdes College, also in Sylvania, set to begin on Aug. 22, according to a Toledo Blade report.

Approximately 80 percent of the funding will be used for enrolled students who demonstrate financial need and academic merit. The program plans to offer four scholarships each year, depending on the need as assessed by a committee.

Four of the 12 nurse anesthesia students this year will receive scholarships. Lourdes will use the rest of the money to fund continuing anesthesia education, staff development, direct support for the training program and the creation of a lecture series.
