The American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine selected Michael Stanton-Hicks, MD, as its 2017 John J. Bonica Lecture Award winner.
Here's what you should know:
1. Dr. Stanton-Hicks is a former ASRA president and distinguished service award recipient.
2. He will present his lecture "CRPS: What's In a Name?" on Nov. 18, at the 16th Annual Pain Medicine Meeting in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
3. Dr. Stanton-Hicks has been on the Cleveland Clinic's staff since 1988. Colleagues refer to Dr. Stanton-Hicks as a pioneer in pain medicine.
4. His lecture will focus on complex regional pain syndrome.
