CareFusion, a global medical technology company, has announced the appointment of Carlos M. Nunez, MD, as its new chief medical officer.
Dr. Nunez is an anesthesiologist, intensivist and hospitalist who has devoted much of his business career to clinical effectiveness, information technology, public policy and international markets. He most recently served as chief physician executive at Picis, prior to which he served as a practicing clinician and director of education and research for the division of critical care medicine at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast in North Carolina.
