American Society of Anesthesiologists announced that three of its members at Stanford (Calif.) University School of Medicine are traveling to Rwanda to participate in a teaching program at the two teaching hospitals of the National University of Rwanda.
The members participating in the program are Ana Crawford, MD, clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology, perioperative and pain medicine; Melanie Gipp, MD, pediatric anesthesia fellow; and Christopher Press, MD, resident anesthesiologist. They will be teaching members of the anesthesia care team at the Rwandan hospitals about perioperative anesthesia.
