When supply chain shortages occur, consulting with colleagues to determine how they are preparing can help ASCs be prepared as well, according to Cheryl Poplaski, Vizient's senior director of supply chain operations.
She shared the following supply chain tip with Becker's ASC Review:
"Network with colleagues locally and nationally to understand additional options other organizations may be pursuing," Ms. Poplaksi said. "Clinicians may be able to offer alternate techniques that change product mix until normal supplies are available."
