A former payroll consultant from Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center in Dorchester, Mass., has been indicted for allegedly manipulating the books to conceal the theft of approximately $750,000, according to a Boston Globe report.
Nzeribe McKenzie allegedly stole the funds from 2003 to 2008. The grand jury has indicted him on five counts of larceny over $250 by continuous scheme and 13 counts of making false entries on corporate books. Mr. McKenzie will be arraigned May 25.
Harvard Street Neighborhood Health Center has endured serious financial problems. Three years ago it was cutting programs and some of its patients were forced to go elsewhere for medical care.
