A personal care provider from Boise, Idaho, has been sentenced for Medicaid provider fraud, according to a news release from Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden.
Coral Mouser pleaded guilty to submitting progress notes on clients for care in their homes that she never provided. Ms. Mouser admitted to then receiving payments based on the fraudulent progress notes from the Idaho Medicaid Program.
First District Judge Benjamin Simpson sentenced Ms. Mouser to five years in prison, a $5,000 fine and ordered her to pay restitution. The court suspended the sentence and ordered Ms. Mouser to serve 45 days in jail and to pay $12,465 in restitution to the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare.
