Regent Surgical Health has named John Phelps III as its new director of physician marketing.
Mr. Phelps will be responsible for physician recruitment for Regent's ASCs and physician-owned hospitals. He has over 10 years of healthcare sales experience which includes new business development, consultant selling and sales management.
Prior to joining Regent, Mr. Phelps held several sales positions with pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations including, Davita Johnson & Johnson, Solvay Pharmaceuticals and GlaxoSmithKline.
"Physician retention and recruitment are among the biggest problems facing all providers," said Regent CEO and Co-Founder Thomas Mallon in a news release. "We've invested in a new director-level position to enhance our recruiting abilities and give our ASC and physician-owned hospital partners additional resources to meet their growth objectives."
