Access MediQuip, a provider of implant surgery management solutions, has announced it has named Dr. Prakash Patel, MD, as its chief operating officer and chief clinical officer.
Dr. Patel assumes responsibility for the company's cost-of-care initiatives and clinical programs.

"Access MediQuip is expanding the scope and quality of its clinical and cost-of-care programs as well as the size of its surgical facility network and Dr. Patel's background and expertise will be valuable as we expand our capabilities and footprint."
Dr. Patel joins Access MediQuip from Magellan Health Services, where he served on the executive leadership team as chief corporate development officer. He also led operations at Magellan's National Imaging Associates where he built out network capabilities, addressed cost-of-care issues and supported product development. He previously held positions at Imericius Healthcare, Internet Healthcare Group and Scheer and Company.
