Healthmark Industries, which develops products for the sterilization, decontamination, storage and security of surgical instruments and other medical devices and accessories, has launched a free, educational online resource on cleaning surgical instruments.
The resource is an Adobe Flash-based game found at www.Crazy4Clean.com. In this game, participants follow and direct the adventures of "TOSIman" as he works to rid surgical instruments of dangerous organic soils utilizing the tools typically found in a modern sterile processing department, according to Healthmark.
At the end of the game, participants can demonstrate their knowledge and earn a CEU from IAHCSMM or CBSPD as an expert in cleaning. CEU’s are earned from IAHCSMM or CBSPD.
