A bill targeting illicit pain clinics in Georgia has been approved by the Senate and heads over to the Governor's desk for signing, according to an 11Alive report.
The bill would make it a felony crime for anyone other than a licensed physician to own and operate a pain clinic, and it would give the Georgia Composite Medical Board strong regulative authority in ensuring that pain clinics don't over-prescribe prescription narcotics to patients who don't need them.
