Delaware's Lewes Surgery Center Adds Dr. John Spieker, Neurostimulator Implants

Lewes (Del.) Surgery Center has started offering neurostimulator implants for patients living with chronic pain, according to a Cape Gazette report.

Lewes Surgery Center, a 5,600-square-foot facility, was founded by John Spieker, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and founder of Orthopaedic Associates of Southern Delaware, in 2006.

Lewes Surgery Center administrative director Peggy Roca said many patients at the center have been living with pain for years and consider surgery the only remaining option. Alan Cota, MD, a surgeon and pain specialist working in Dover, signed on to operate at Lewes Surgery Center in early May. His first procedure was the installation of a spinal cord stimulator.
