A bill introduced in the Kentucky House would prohibit pain clinics from accepting cash payments and require patients to present a government-issued photo ID before receiving services, according to a Courier Journal report.
Clinic owners would be charged with a misdemeanor for the first violation and a felony for subsequent violations. This bill is the third piece of legislation filed in the current session of the Kentucky House that aims to stop illegal pain clinics.
