Advanced Pain Management, based in Greenfield, Wis., and operating nearly 40 clinics in Wisconsin and Minnesota, opened a clinic inside Aspirus Wausau Hospital, in Wausau, Wis., according to a Wausau Daily Herald report.
The clinic was opened after Central Wisconsin Anesthesiology decided to stop using its physicians to staff the pain clinic at the hospital. Instead of hiring new physicians to staff the center, Aspirus rented the space to Advanced Pain Management. The clinic will offer comprehensive pain management, and plans to eventually have three doctors and about 20 additional staff members.
