ENT named chair of Vanderbilt's otolaryngology department

Eben Rosenthal, MD, was named chair of Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center's department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, according to a June 11 news release. 

Dr. Rosenthal will begin his term Oct. 11; he currently serves as the medical director and associate director of clinical care for Stanford (Calif.) Cancer Center.

Prior to Stanford, he served as division director of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and held the John S. Odess Endowed Chair at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Dr. Rosenthal earned his BA from Haverford (Pa.) College. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Michigan Medical Center, both in Ann Arbor.
