Les Schwendeman, MD, medical director of the Youngstown, Ohio-based The Orthopaedic Surgery Center, said the practice's growth over the past two years led to plans to construct a new center in Boardman, Ohio, according to The Business Journal.
The key details to know:
1. Dr. Schwendeman said physicians at the practice performed 110 total joint procedures last year, even though the practice isn't in a city as large as Cleveland or Columbus.
2. The new center is scheduled to open this December and will feature EHRs and new infection control technology.
3. The center will also have four operating rooms and overnight observation rooms.
