Alexandria, Minn.-based Heartland Orthopedic Specialists performed its 5,000th joint replacement procedure since September 2008, Echo Press reports.
\Here's what you should know:
1. Heartland's Paul Dave, MD, performed the procedure.
2. The patient was one of eight to have a joint procedure performed that day. All the patients received a celebratory recovery basket and thank you cards to note the milestone procedure.
3. Heartland created the joint replacement program jointly with the Alomere Health Joint Replacement Center, also in Alexandria.
