Three orthopedic ASCs opened or announced in January:
1. Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare held an open house for its Center for Orthopaedic Surgery Jan. 29. The center will perform all types of orthopedic surgery, including joint replacement and spine surgeries.
2. Phoenix-based OrthoArizona is building an outpatient care center with a surgery center in Scottsdale, Ariz.
3. University of Rochester (N.Y.) is redeveloping a portion of a former shopping mall in Rochester for $240 million, including an orthopedic campus and surgery center.
