Ophthalmologists Mark Greiner, MD, and Karen Gehrs, MD, have joined University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine's department of ophthalmology and visual sciences, according to a news release.
Dr. Greiner joins the institution's cornea and external disease service following completion of a clinical fellowship in cornea and external disease at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Ore. He received his MD from University of California, Davis School of Medicine in Sacramento and completed a residency in ophthalmology at University of California, Davis Health System Eye Center in Sacramento, according to his bio.
Dr. Gehrs rejoins the institution's vitreoretinal disease service after a period in private practice in Florida. She is seeing patients at the UI Health Care-Iowa River Landing facility in Coralville.
Dr. Gehrs received her MD from University of Missouri-Columbia, and completed a residency in ophthalmology and fellowship in vitroretinal disease at Duke University Eye Center in Durham, N.C., according to her bio.
