Ophthalmologist Nancy Webb, MD, has been named chairman of The Lighthouse of Houston, according to a Houston Chronicle report.
The Lighthouse of Houston is described as a private, nonprofit education and service center dedicated to assisting blind and visually impaired people to live independently. It serves approximately 7, 000 people annually.
Dr. Webb is chief of ophthalmology at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, according to her bio. She went to medical school and completed her residency at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in ophthalmic pathology at the school and was a full-time faculty member for one year before joining Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
Her clinical interests include oculoplastics, cataract surgery and glaucoma.
