Ophthalmologist Babak Shabatian, MD, provides five tips for cataract prevention and detection in a news release.
Dr. Shabatian is founder and director of CaliEye and Laser Institute in Torrance, Calif.
The tips provided by Dr. Shabatian in the release include when to receive cataract screenings and eye exams, and how to help preserve eyesight to reduce the likelihood of developing cataracts.
Dr. Shabatian received his MD from Boston University School of Medicine. He then completed an internship in general surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles, an ophthalmology residency at New York at North Shore - Long Island Jewish Hospital, affiliates of New York University Medical Center and Albert Einstein School of Medicine, and fellowship training in medical diseases of vitreous and retina at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn N.Y.
