6 New Ophthalmology-Driven Facilities

David Ewing-Chow, MD, of Watertown, N.Y. and his partner Gregory N. Joy, MD, dissolved their Jefferson Eye Surgeons and Creative Optical Practice. Dr. Ewing-Chow will open his new solo practice on March 25.

Geisinger Health System is building a 4,000-square-foot expansion on its Shamokin, Pa., campus. The $1.2 million project will house an increased staff for diagnosis and treatment of eye-related health issues. The expansion is expected to be complete in June.

San Antonio Eye Center in Texas opened a new 6,000-square-foot location in the city. The company has a staff of 85, seven ophthalmologists and several locations in the San Antonio area.

Central Utah Clinic, based in Provo, Utah, has opened a new eye clinic in Mesquite, Nev. Snow Slade, MD, will be the ophthalmologist responsible for managing the clinic.

Hoopes Vision, operated by Philip Hoopes, MD, and staffed by 10 physicians, has moved to a new location in Draper, Utah. This newly constructed facility is the third location of Hoopes Vision. The other two clinics are located in Salt Lake City and Sandy City, Utah.

North Shore Eye Care, founded by Sidney Martin, MD, has opened a new eye center in Southampton, N.Y. North Shore Eye Care has five locations.
