Pennsylvania Hospital Wins Exception to Build New Hospital, Surgery Center

The Lower Makefield (Pa.) Zoning Hearing Board voted to grant an exception needed by Aria Hospital in Frankford, Pa., to begin construction on a new campus, according to a report in the Bucks County Courier Times.

Aria is proposing to build a 375,000 square-foot hospital, 40,000 square-foot medical office building and 40,000 square-foot ambulatory surgery center that would replace most of the hospital's Bucks County campus, according to the report.

Appeals to the exception are expected to be made by township supervisors and a citizens' group called Residents Against Frankford's Relocation.
