Here are six recent news updates, including a leadership move and acquisition announcements, on ambulatory surgery center management and development companies.

Medical Facilities Corporation announced that a cash pay dividend of Cdn$0.09375 per Common Share will be payable on Feb. 18.

Northstar Healthcare recently announced the acquisition of ownership interests in an urgent care center and two imaging centers in Houston.

Rudolfo Panganiban, MD, a pain management physician, will now perform the AccuraScope back pain procedure at the New Tampa Surgery Center, part of the Surgery Partners system.

MedProperties and Caddis Partners recently announced the joint venture acquisition of RiverGate Medical Center, which includes a medical office building and Animas Surgical Hospital. Animas Surgical Hospital is operated by Symbion.

Jeff Fox became a vice president of new business development at Physicians Endoscopy in December. Prior to his new position, Mr. Fox served as a vice president of development at Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America.

AmSurg announced that 76 of its centers earned accreditation in 2013.
