Tidelands Health is opening a $44 million building in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Sept. 4, according to MyHorryNews.com.
Three points:
1. The three-story, 65,000-square-foot Tidelands Health Medical Park at The Market Common will house multiple physician practices and clinical services under one roof. It is expected to accommodate 140,000 patient visits annually.
2. Tidelands Health is seeking state approval to put an ASC and endoscopy suites on the first floor. The second floor will include orthopedic, rehabilitation and pain management services, with the third floor devoted to family medicine, gastroenterology, and heart and vascular services.
3. Murrells Inlet, S.C.-based Tidelands operates four hospitals in South Carolina and 60-plus outpatient locations. Its new development will compete with the nearby South Strand Medical Center, as well as Conway Medical Center's 36,000-square-foot health plaza.
