Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina's outpatient facility being developed in a former J.C. Penney is on track to accept patients in December, according to ABC 4 News.
Three highlights:
1. MUSC's 127,000-square-foot, two-story outpatient facility at Citadel Mall in Charleston will house an ASC, as well as a spine center. Other specialties offered will include cardiology, dermatology, ENT, gastroenterology and ophthalmology.
2. Construction on the facility is about 15 percent complete, with plumbing, framing and some wall structures in place.
3. MUSC will split the estimated $32.9 million cost of renovations with Trademark Properties, which purchased the space in August 2016, as previously reported by Becker's ASC Review.
