Neurosurgeon Swaid N. Swaid, MD, is overseeing the construction of a $21 million medical plaza in Vestavia Hills, Ala., CBS 42 reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. Brasfield & Gorrie broke ground on the 40,000-square-foot Vestavia Medical Plaza Dec. 18.
2. Vestavia Medical Plaza will feature an ASC, diagnostic center and clinical space for 12 physicians. It will offer spinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, ENT services, pain management and other specialties.
3. Dr. Swaid, who practices at Swaid Clinic in Vestavia Hills, told CBS 42 the medical plaza project is a vision he's had for years.
4. Construction is expected to wrap up in November 2019.
5. At full occupancy, it could create up to 100 jobs.
