Here are three ASCs that are receiving upgrades that Becker's has reported on since Feb. 5:
1. The Retinal Ambulatory Surgery Center of New York in New York City will expand its facility with the addition of two new operating rooms.
2. The Muskegon (Mich.) Surgery Center completed a $9.3 million expansion project. The project added about 13,500 square feet to the facility, which includes the addition of two operating rooms.
3. Stafford, Conn.-based Johnson Memorial Hospital is planning an upgrade of its Enfield, Conn., surgery center. The hospital hopes to switch its existing hospital-based outpatient department to a freestanding outpatient surgical facility, which would be located in a $17.8 million, 43,200-square-foot medical building that is already under construction.
