Family medicine, the most in-demand physician specialty, has one of the lowest average annual salaries, according to AMN Healthcare's "2023 Review of Physician and Advanced Practitioner Recruiting Incentives" report released July 24.
Here are the 10 most in-demand physicians, followed by their average annual salary in 2022/2023:
- Family medicine: $255,000
- Radiology: $472,000
- OB-GYN: $367,000
- Anesthesiology: $450,000
- Internal medicine: $255,000
- Gastroenterology: $506,000
- Cardiology (Non-invasive): $433,000
- Hematology/oncology: $440,000
- Neurology: $354,000
- Urology: $540,000
