ASC leaders' annual salaries dipped slightly in 2019, according to OR Manager's 2019 Salary/Career Survey.
OR Manager collected data from 196 ASC leaders from March 28 to May 31. Respondents were either OR Manager subscribers or part of an external list.
Five things to know:
1. Fifty-two percent of respondents reported earning at least $100,000 or more, the lowest percentage in the past four years.
2. That level of compensation was reported by 60 percent of respondents in 2018, 54 percent in 2017 and 53 percent in 2016.
3. ASC leaders reported an average raise of 3.19 percent, which is above the 1.9 percent increase in the consumer price index for 2018.
4. The pay dip may relate to lower satisfaction levels. The number of leaders who are satisfied with their jobs has dropped 6 percentage points in the past two years, from 83 percent in 2017 to 74 percent in 2019.
5. ASC leaders also continue to report lower satisfaction with their benefits: 58 percent were satisfied this year, compared to 63 percent in 2018.
