Bethesda, Md.-based Massachusetts Avenue Surgery Center hired Kelly Blackstock as director of business operations and CEO in January.
Ms. Blackstock previously spent one year as the administrator of University Center for Ambulatory Surgery in Riverdale, Md., and nine years as the administrator of Advanced Surgery Center, a two-procedure room endoscopy center with 32 employees.
In her current role, Ms. Blackstock oversees the AAAHC-accredited surgery center that includes gynecology, urology, orthopedics and pain management. The center has 27 physician owners and includes 23-hour stays for complex cases.
