University Gastroenterology president Dr. Thomas Sepe receives clinical professorship at Brown University

East Greenwich, RI- based University Gastroenterology’s president Thomas E. Sepe, MD, was promoted to the position of clinical professor of medicine at the Providence, RI.-based Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.

Dr. Sepe received the clinical professorship after a year-long application and review process. He said his work in clinical trials in liver disease and hepatitis C helped him get the promotion.

Dr. Sepe is the highest ranked faculty member at University Gastroenterology, where he also serves as director of the Liver Center and clinical trials in Hepatology.

He earned his medical degree from New York City-based Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Boston-based Beth Israel Hospital and a gastroenterology fellowship at Boston-based New England Medical Center.
