The Supporting ColoRectal Examination and Education Now Act has been introduced to the House and Senate by Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) and Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD), according to a report by The Sacramento Bee.
Under Medicare, the Screen Act would waive beneficiary cost-sharing for any colorectal cancer screenings that involve the removal of polyps.
Currently, Medicare only covers colorectal cancer screenings that do not involve the unexpected removal of polyps.
