Philadelphia children's hospital building multispecialty clinic with GI focus — 4 insights

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia plans to build a 37,000-square-foot multispecialty clinic in Abington, Pa., the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.

What you should know:

1. CHOP unveiled plans for the CHOP Specialty Care and Urgent Care Clinic May 3.

2. The clinic will feature up to 30 exam rooms, a developmental physical therapy space, an occupational therapy gym, and spaces for audiology, speech therapy, radiology and electroencephalogram services.

3. The clinic will provide gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, neurology, endocrinology and pulmonology services.

4. CHOP also designated 10,000 square feet of the clinic for future clinical programs.
