Motus GI Holdings announced that Flourtown, Pa.-based Hillmont GI was the first U.S. ambulatory endoscopy center to use its Pure-Vu system.
Here's what you should know.
1. Gerald Bertiger, MD, performed the first procedure.
2. Pure-Vu improves bowel preparation in patients that are inadequately prepped.
3. Dr. Bertinger complimented the system's ease-of-use saying, "I believe the Pure-Vu system is a simple, safe and effective solution for cleaning inadequately prepared colons in patients who have failed preps or may be unable to tolerate or consumer their entire prep."
4. The PureVu system received 510(k) clearance in 2016.
