Rome, Ga.-based Harbin Clinic Gastroenterology Endoscopy & GI Lab has earned a three-year renewal recognition from the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy that honors the center's dedication to quality and safety, according to a Sept. 3 report from Coosa Valley News.
The ASGE recognizes endoscopy units that show a commitment to patient safety and quality in endoscopy. More than 600 endoscopy units have received the recognition since 2009.
To be recognized, clinics must follow ASGE's guidelines on privileging, quality assurance, endoscope reprocessing, CDC infection control guidelines and ensuring endoscopy staff competency.
The certificate is renewable every three years, according to the report.
