GMed, a Modernizing Medicine Co., will soon become Modernizing Medicine Gastroenterology with a number of its offerings also taking on new identities later this year.
Here's what you should know:
1. The gGastro Suite will become modmed Gastroenterology, while the Endoscopy Report Writer will become gGastro ERW.
2. In addition to the rebrand, gMed announced the debut of its gGastro Mobile software system. The gGastro Mobile system allows physicians to view their schedule, look up patients and see various patient details, among other features.
The system will feature three platforms including: gKiosk, gPortal and gReminder. Kiosk streamlines patient check-ins and check-outs in an office or ASC setting via an iPad, gPortal is an online patient engagement tool and gReminder is a patient appointment reminder tool.
3. GMed will showcase its full gGastro suite at Digestive Disease Week, June 2 to June 5 in Washington, D.C.
4. Modernizing Medicine's Medical Director of Gastroenterology Julie Servoss said, "Over the past few years, Modernizing Medicine has worked diligently to advance its industry-leading gastroenterology EMR software that our users have appreciated for 20 years. The additional mobile functionality is intended to allow physicians to be more responsive to patients thereby providing better care. And since many gastroenterologists travel between the office, endoscopy suite and hospital each day, the mobile platform should allow them to manage practice and patient workflow with greater efficiency."
