Marla C. Dubinsky, MD, is the chief of pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. She previously served as director of the pediatric inflammatory bowel disease center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Dr. Dubinsky has a professional interest in Crohn's disease, inflammatory bowel disease and ulcerative colitis. Her research interests include the influence of genetics and immune responses on the variability in clinical presentations, treatment responses and prognosis of early-onset IBD.
Dr. Dubinsky has been published in 83 professional journals including Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and American Journal of Gastroenterology. She also sits on the editorial boards of a number of journals, such as Gastroenterology and Nature Clinical Practice Gastroenterology & Hepatology. She has won numerous awards for her work, including the Corrine and Lenny Sands Clinical Investigator Award.
Dr. Dubinsky earned her medical degree at Queen's University in Canada and completed her residency at Alberta Children's Hospital, also in Canada. She completed her fellowship at CHU Sainte-Justine (St. Justine Hospital) in Canada.
