The American Gastroenterological Association Research Foundation has partnered with the Gastric Cancer Foundation to create a grant for gastric and esophageal cancer research. The $2.25 million endowment includes equal contributions from both organizations. The grant will be designed to support young investigators who will increase understanding of both diseases and ultimately lead to prevention and a cure.
Recipients will receive $90,000 per year for three years to focus the majority of their time on disease research.
