Duluth, Minn.-based Essentia Health, which covers North Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin, has hired gastroenterologist Kevin Karls, MD, at its Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismark (N.D) 9th Street Clinic.
Dr. Karls has practiced in his native Bismark for 14 years, according to a July 15 news release, and has worked alongside a number of the Bismark clinic’s physicians for over 10 years.
"Essentia has brought together an outstanding group of GI providers at this clinic, with a vision to make this the premier destination for GI and liver care in western North Dakota," Dr. Karls said in the release.
