The joint venture Endoscopy Center of Niagara in Wheatfield, N.Y., filed papers to turn its temporary operating license into a permanent one, Buffalo Business First reports.
Here's what you should know:
1. The center, formed by Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Memorial Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health and Getzville, N.Y.-based Endoscopy Center of WNY, was granted a five-year limited term license when it opened in 2014.
2. The center has seen its caseload rapidly grow from 1,527 in its first year to 4,315 in 2017.
3. The center exceeds New York Department of Health Medicare requirements with its Medicare caseload.
4. Jamison, Pa.-based Physicians Endoscopy manages the center.
